van Besouw NV was a mid-sized company, well known in the Netherlands for its range of exclusive designer carpets.

Van Besouw had 2 other product lines: “Fabrics”, PVC-coated textiles, confectioned tailor made for the sail cloth and roofing industries and “Plastics” where engineering thermoplastics were extruded, mainly for the vacuum form industry.

My analysis regarding the functioning of the sales administration led to a reorganization and a separation of the industrial “Plastics division” and the consumer “Carpet division”.

Responsible for the sales areas Germany and the Benelux, a new market approach developed an enormous sales growth to 7 million euro. A detailed analysis of the companies buying vacuum form equipment resulted into highly focused approach , a strong potential and a very rapid growth.
